Can someone help me with what I should wear under my referee costume?

Now I was thinking of either wearing the socks over black tights or over white ones. What would look nicer? I tried both and the black looks more covered but the white has a smoother look with the socks. Please don't suggest wearing it as it is in the picture, not going to happen. 
i think black tights would look nice with the skirt
