I stubbed my toe badly, it's cut and REALLY hurts!?
Yesterday, I wasn't wearing any shoes, just socks in town (don't ask lol). Anyhoo I stubbed my little toe on a big metal pipe thingymajig and it was so painful! I was busy talking and didn't notice the pain until I got home at about 10:10. I took my sock off and there was blood on my other toe and a cut on the top of my little toe. I washed it in the shower.
Today I've been working and riding at my yard but came home because it was starting to hurt again. I expected blood to be there but there wasn't. The cut is in such a shape that a little flap of skin can slightly pulled up. That bit has gone.......white!
I hope you can understand it. It was too hard to explain. Anyway, my question is
* What do you think is wrong with it?
*What should I do?
P.S I will tell my mum later when she gets home.
OK. I can surely understand that you are getting "nervous".
First: wash (gently) the area with soap and water. Try not to use a scented soap. Dish detergent is OK.
Then pour hydrogen peroxide on the wounded area.
The white, flapped "thing" will probably slough off - that is, shrivel and leave. Your body's own resources will replace it. HOwever, if you want to try, use a very small piece of tape (even Scotch tape) to hold it where it "belongs".
It sounds as thoght the toe could be broken, so, TAPE THE INJURED TOE TO THE TOE NEXT TO IT.
I know that sounds crazy, but that is how you splint a toe.

Shoes, socks, sandals? what to wear on your feet with shorts
I have a nice pair of outdoorsy brown and black shoes (mostly brown though), and also some nice shorts (brown, black, white, and tan) that I'd like to wear when I go out. I read that you are supposed to wear sandals with shorts, but I don't own any.
My question is, can I wear these shoes with my shorts? If so what color socks would be best to wear? Are brown socks ok? or should I wear socks that match my shorts? Low-cut socks? I have brown, black, and white socks.
If it's really necessary I'll go out and buy sandals, but I don't really like wearing them....
