What kind of outfits are over-the-knee socks meant to be worn with?
If they're not supposed to peek out my boots then what else could they be for?
Oh well i think that Knee High Socks....tube socks...or whatever, look just fine peeking out of your boots.
If you don't like that look there are plenty of other ways you can wear them.
I like to have my high socks be mostly white with two different colors striped across the top.
For example, green and blue would be two cute colors that would match with a lot of things, i would wear these with navy blue converse and with a dress that is also blue that reaches just barley above the knees so it shows a little bit of skin. Tie in some green accessories even.
You could do this with other colored socks as well to match other shoes you have that aren't boots if you don't like that style, i find that converse look the best compared to vans or other type sneakers but that is my opinion.
Shorter style skirts also look good with knee high socks. You could add some shorter styled boots with it and some denim which would be major cute as well, it just depends on your style.

Where to buy over the knee socks or nylons?
Any one know of brick and mortar stores that sell solid color, like balck or gray, over the knee socks? When wearing skirts I hate hose and tights because I don't like anything on my stomach. I was hoping to find some tall socks. I've looked online and can either only find stripped ones, or stores that I am unfamiliar with.
